MVL to Launch Mainnet on Base Layer 3 Network and Expand Ecosystem into the U.S. Through Strategic Partnership with CO-OP

MVL, a pioneering blockchain mobility company, has announced a collaboration with Base chain to launch its mainnet on Base’s recent layer 3 network. This marks a significant evolution in MVL’s ecosystem, positioning it at the forefront of blockchain-powered mobility solutions.

From its early days, MVL has been dedicated to building a blockchain network that drives a mobility ecosystem rooted in fairness, transparency, and equitable value sharing among users. However, the challenges of scaling blockchain infrastructure—high costs, complexity, and limited scalability—have posed significant hurdles. Over the past six years, MVL has worked diligently to build its real world infrastructure and ecosystem, ensuring real-world utility before transitioning to a mainnet launch. Today, MVL’s ecosystem includes several groundbreaking services:

  • TADA: Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing ride-hailing platform, holding the second-largest market share in Singapore. Available in a total of 5 countries, TADA’s zero-commission model ensures drivers receive their full earnings, while a blockchain-based reward system benefits both riders and drivers.
  • ONiON Mobility: The first electric vehicle manufacturer and energy infrastructure provider in Cambodia, ONiON produces electric three-wheelers and bikes, distributing them across the country. Additionally, the company has rolled out battery swap charging stations that reduce charging times from three hours to just five minutes, enabling drivers to maximize their earnings.
  • DePIN: A decentralized data protocol that collects mobility data, such as pick-up and drop-off locations and driving metrics, from TADA and key vehicle data such as real-time location and driving information from ONiON, securely storing it on-chain.
  • Musubi: MVL’s vehicle digitization service that uses on-chain data from DePIN to convert vehicle ownership into NFTs, allowing anyone to own a car as a digital asset, even from across the globe, and earn passive income through leasing.

With these services thriving, MVL has reached a key moment where a dedicated mainnet is necessary to unify and scale its ecosystem. The new mainnet will improve efficiency and make data flow seamlessly across all MVL services that were once separate.

The decision to launch MVL’s mainnet on Base’s Layer 3 network is a smart move for the company. Base’s network provides the security, low fees, and scalability that MVL needs to support its growing ecosystem. This structure enables MVL to maintain its own network while benefiting from Basechain’s robust security and Ethereum’s liquidity.

Base’s Layer 3 network compresses transactions into batches, recording them on its settlement layer, Ethereum mainnet. This approach enables MVL to handle large volumes of data and transactions efficiently, paving the way for scalability in a growing global ecosystem. Importantly, the integration of MVL’s native token into the Layer 3 network will further enhance the utility of the MVL token, driving adoption and expanding its role within the ecosystem.

In addition to its collaboration with Basechain, MVL has also announced that its ride-hailing platform, TADA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CO-OP, a community-owned ride-sharing platform. Through this partnership, MVL is expanding its ecosystem into the United States, beginning with Colorado.

CO-OP is a collective of drivers who provide ride-hailing services but are frustrated with the unfair fare distribution of major platforms like Uber and Lyft. The platform is committed to increasing transparency in fare allocation and ensuring that drivers receive a fair share of their earnings. This mission closely aligns with MVL’s vision and TADA’s zero-commission model for drivers, which prioritizes fair fares and allows drivers to take home more of their earnings.

Building on seven years of experience with TADA, MVL is developing an application system designed to help mobility service providers (MSPs) easily integrate and build their services within the MVL ecosystem. Together with the MVL mainnet, this system will be a critical tool in fostering a more diverse and decentralized mobility network.

By leveraging this system, MVL will collaborate with CO-OP to offer fairer fares and improved service compared to traditional ride-hailing platforms, setting a new standard for driver-focused mobility solutions in the U.S.
